We already love ModCloth for the unique styles, vintage-inspired looks, affordable prices, and wide range of plus size options. Now there are even more reasons to love the company.
ModCloth is the first company to sign the Heroes of Advertising Pledge created by the Brave Girls Alliance. That means they pledge “to do (their) best not to change the shape, size, proportion, color and/or remove/enhance the physical features, of the people in (their) ads in post-production.” In addition, Photoshopped models are to be identified to distinguish between real models and unattainable ideals.
According to ModCloth’s co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Susan Gregg Koger, the pledge is “perfectly aligned with what ModCloth is already committed to – celebrating the beauty of women as they truly are.” A shout out to ModCloth for contributing to healthier self image through honesty in advertising and figure-flattering clothing.
